When I booked the apartment at Breakfree Maldives I believed that the bedding consisted of a queen size bed and a single bed. On arrival I was informed that we were allocated a queen sized bed and a sofa bed in the living area. This was disappointing but I accepted this arrangement until the sofa bed was put to use. The mattress was so thin that the metal framework pressed hard against the body and made sleep impossible.
The next day I informed the receptionist about this problem and she said she would organise a better alternative. On our return to the apartment we found a fold up bed, not a roller bed as was promised. Again, the mattress was so thin that the metal frame against my body prevented any hope of sleep. Surprisingly, the receptionist did not ask about the level of satisfaction in regard to our stay when we checked out.
There were no other services to speak of either, definitely not value for money and I will not be returning. No recommendations from me either.
My whole reason for staying at Main Beach was to be in close proximity to Sea World and Movie World. I found the shops around Main Beach very adequate and we were within walking distance to the beach. I would thoroughly recommend this location when holidaying at the Gold Coast.
