The staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful in advising of where to take kids to eat etc..
We were a family (3 children) and this was a nice place to stay for a short visit.
We all had a fantastic time at Sea World which was just up the road BUT the cost freaked us out a bit! Movie World was a huge rip-off for our 4 year old who was too small to go on the majority of the rides (even quite a few in the kids area!!!!). They rip you off big-time for food too.
Beach is glorious (and free to play on!) and there are some great playgrounds close by too.
