This hotel was in a great spot for us as we had a vehicle - close to Harbourtown and the theme parks. Probably a bit far out of Surfers Paradise if you don't have a car although the bus system is good. Nice walkway in front of the resort to walk along the water. Several restaurants and takeaway places within the walking distance to the hotel.
We had a family group of 9 and got rooms on the same level so the accommodation was good for us. Rooms were clean and well resourced. Only problem was when cooking - the low quality pans and oven combined with a weak rangehood ended up in a lot of smoke which led to the fire alarms going off (more than once during our stay - not just in our room!)
One other complaint was that the office was closed a lot of the time and I don't think the managers live on site so it was a bit hard to get information or toilet paper when you really needed it.
5 mins drive from the bargain shoppers heaven Harbourtown, about 20 mins drive north to Movieworld, Dreamworld and Wet n wild. Its always great to go into Cavill Ave in the evening, lots of food, great buskers and most shops stay open till late. Lots of fantastic theme restaurants along the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach as well as Jupiters casino. We were there at the end of May when the weather was still warm but not hot enough to go swimming at the beach.
