Third bedroom wasn't unlocked and we had to search for the manager to unlock it - he then said we had only booked a two bedroom unit. I had to advise him that we had booked a three bedroom apartment. We had to advise them that there were overturned chairs and broken tiles on the balcony outside the third bedroom (presumably from the storm the previous week, and they didn't even come and look at it!).
Apart from that drama, the unit was very well presented, had every kitchen utensil, piece of crockery you could imagine. There was however a lack of extra blankets and pillows (which I suppose isn't a problem if you take your own pillow with you).
The beach is a couple of minutes walk from your unit! The Currumbin Bird sanctuary is across the road. The lorikeets come onto your balcony in the morning and late afternoon to be fed (which is great for kids especially!), but wear a long sleeve shirt or top because they will climb up your arms :). There is a supermarket a short drive away in Tugun or a convenience store across the road for basic items.
The Currumbin Surf Club is a short walk away and has breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also surf lifesavers on duty at the beach at Currumbin (near the surf club). The airport is only about ten minutes from the apartments.
