The mansion was great in size and was perfect for our large family gathering. The rooms were enormous and the layout very children friendly. The grounds were beautiful and the kids had a wonderful time. There was a strong sewerage smell coming from the neighbours which dampened our stay and also on the website it was adverstised as solar heated pool but when we arrived they had not any heating. Also when we checked in they were not ready for us and we had to ask for bedding for cot and gas for the fireplace.
Overall a good place to stay if you have a large group and want to get away from the touristy scene and the pool room was a big hit in the evenings even though the dart board was broken along with the tennis court net. Abit run down but still a nice place to stay.
Close by is a shopping village with cafes and takeaway outlets with coles etc, This was very handy but not walking distance as the website suggested. Was nearly 3km. It took about 25mins drive to get to the beach.
